AIMS AND PURPOSES

Cumbernauld YMCA-YWCA recognises the Aims and Purposes and developing role of both national parent organisations.

As such it encourages members to full participation in the 'International Family' of the YMCA and YWCA.  We endeavour through our work in the community and with individuals to enable people, particularly the young, to develop as full participants in society through the provision of relevant services and programme paying particular attention to areas of need.  We believe in equal opportunity for all and in the support of programmes which encourage the development of the whole person.

Throughout all it's activities the Association aims to care for and support the personal development of the individual and maintain a focus on wider community development opportunities.

Every member of staff, including volunteers, are expected to conduct themselves with honesty, integrity and commitment in all activities relating to the Association.
